Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code across one or more clients. Your typical day will involve working with French and MySQL, performing maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Roles & Responsibilities: Incident Management: Analyze and process incidents promptly. Resolve incidents autonomously or escalate to appropriate support channels. Provide frequent reporting and communication on crisis progress. Monitor restoration of services. Demand Analysis and Processing: Analyze and process service & work requests thoroughly. promptly and efficiently. Execute tasks autonomously whenever possible. Escalate requests to appropriate support channels if necessary. Problem Management: Analyze the causes and process Problem Tickets. Implement permanent solutions and handle Known Error Tickets. Validate solutions in production. Knowledge Management: Contribute to knowledge base by updating and validating entries. Participate in identifying underlying problems. Launch preventive actions and propose improvements. Other Responsibilities: Participate in committee meetings and provide insights for operational improvements. Assist in mentoring new team members and enhancing their technical and functional skills. Draft documentation for new processes to support team members. Document knowledge and reusable procedures concisely for L1 teams. [Qualifications & Skills] : Proven experience in L2 support roles Proficiency in SQL used used in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills in French and English, both verbal and written. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience in participating in committees and facilitating meetings. Willingness to assist in mentoring and coaching new team members. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Functional knowledge of processes related to retail industry with expertise in the following domains: HR, Finance, ecommerce, loyalty, marketing, cashiering, suppliers, and both front and back-end store operations will be an advantage. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in French. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with MySQL. - Strong understanding of software development principles and practices. - Experience with agile development methodologies. - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Familiarity with software testing and automation frameworks. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in French. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
