Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will analyze, design, code, and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients. You will perform maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work. Your typical day will involve analyzing requirements, designing software solutions, writing code, and conducting testing to ensure the quality of the application. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements. - Design and develop software solutions based on business needs. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code. - Conduct unit testing and debugging of software components. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. - Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members. Professional & Technical Skills: - Configure and customize SAP CO modules to meet business requirements for cost center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis. - Design and implement allocation methodologies within SAP to distribute costs across cost centers, business units, or profit centers. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define intercompany accounting processes and ensure accurate reconciliation of intercompany transactions. - Provide expertise in SAP CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) for analyzing profitability by product, customer, and business segment. - Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to CO modules, allocations, and intercompany reconciliations. - Develop reports and dashboards using SAP reporting tools (such as SAP BW/BI or SAP Analytics Cloud) to monitor and analyze financial performance. - Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP CO functionalities. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend best practices in SAP CO and related modules. - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls in all SAP CO and intercompany activities. - Proven experience as an SAP Consultant specializing in SAP CO, allocations, and intercompany processes. - In-depth knowledge of SAP CO modules (such as CO-CCA, CO-OM, CO-PA) and their integration with other SAP modules (FI, MM, SD). - Hands-on experience in SAP configuration, customization, and implementation of CO modules. - Strong understanding of cost center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis in SAP CO. - Experience with designing and implementing allocation rules and methods within SAP. - Familiarity with intercompany accounting principles and processes. - SAP certification in SAP Controlling (CO). - Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance implementations. - Knowledge of SAP BW/BI or SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting and analytics. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP CO Profitability Analysis. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
