Social Strategist role
We are looking for a Social Strategist to lead social strategy for our brand portfolio. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with full ownership of strategic thinking as well as operational delivery.
You will define the role of platforms for each brand to setting performance drivers and KPIs. You will work closely with internal teams and clients, and contribute with strategy for social media on new business pitches.
What youll do
- Translate business objectives into clear social objectives using category and platform benchmarks
- Diagnose brand challenges on social through competitive analysis and insight mining
- Define the role of each platform across distribution and amplification
- Build social program architecture, including content pillars, audience segmentation, and amplification logic
- Recommend formats, placements, budgets, and advertising pressure aligned to KPIs
- Define tagging, conversion tracking, funnel measurement, and re-engagement approaches
- Develop custom targeting strategies using client data and platform signals
- Integrate A/B testing and messaging matrices to optimise performance
- Track performance and present clear, insight-led reporting to senior stakeholders
- Evaluate execution needs and contribute to budget planning
- Partner with creative and media teams to ensure strategy translates into strong execution
- Contribute social strategy frameworks and platform thinking to pitch presentations
What you bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in social marketing with strong strategy contribution
- Ability to connect business challenges to social strategy and tactics
- Deep understanding of social platforms and the wider digital ecosystem
- Strong research and analytical skills with a clear strategic point of view
- Curiosity for emerging trends, formats, and social behaviours
- Excellent presentation skills
- Agency experience in a social or digital-first environment preferred
