Role Summary
You will own the end-to-end social presence of Optimist across Instagram, YouTube,
LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. This role blends creative strategy, content production,
trend intelligence, micro-influencer instincts, and data-driven storytelling.
We are a challenger brand your work must spark virality, conversations, community
growth, and a strong digital-first brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Social Strategy
Own the content calendar across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X.
Create platform-native content that is witty, insight-driven, and built for early
adopters.
Build narratives that amplify Optimists mission: Worlds Most Energy-Efficient AC.
Comfort Without Compromise.
Plan and publish short-form videos, reels, carousels, GIFs, and YouTube community
content.
Trend & Culture Intelligence
Stay ahead of trends, creator formats, sound trends, meme culture, and category
conversations.
Proactively pitch content formats that improve virality and shareability.
Identify whitespace opportunities to insert Optimist into category and cultural
moments.
Influencer & Creator Collaboration
Act as a micro-influencer yourself (preferred) comfortable appearing on camera
for explainers or trend-based content.
Identify, outreach, negotiate, and manage micro creators across lifestyle, tech, or
home improvement domains.
Work closely with influencer agencies to plan and execute monthly creator
calendars.
Coordination With Creative & Agency Ecosystem
Collaborate with the creative agency to translate briefs into high-impact social
assets.
Manage day-to-day coordination with the performance agency to amplify content
via paid campaigns.
Align weekly deliverables, content priorities, and timelines across agencies to ensure
high creative throughput.
Provide clear feedback loops, references, and quality benchmarks to maintain
Optimists tone and aesthetic.
Performance & Analytics
Track weekly metrics: reach, engagement, saves, shares, CTR, traffic to
Amazon/website, and follower quality.
Run boosted campaigns on Meta & YouTube for amplification.
Drive measurable outcomes: website visits, Amazon searches (Optimist AC), recall
lift, and video views.
Community Building
Build an engaged community through polls, replies, DMs, UGC prompts, and creator-
driven storytelling.
Maintain and refine a distinct brand tone: radical clarity + proof-led confidence +
intelligent wit.
Required Skills & Experience
13 years in social media management for consumer tech, D2C, or lifestyle brands.
Strong content sense: writing, scripting, copy editing.
Good understanding of Meta & YouTube analytics.
Ability to shoot and appear in videos (preferred).
Obsessed with trends, algorithms, and social culture.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced brand environment with high creative output.
