Position: Head - Social Media

Organization: Karnavati University & Group Institutions

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Department: Marketing & Communications

Reporting To: The President


Role Summary

The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing the universitys social media presence to enhance brand visibility, drive student engagement, and support admissions. The role requires a balance of creative content development and data-driven strategy execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategy aligned with branding and admissions goals
  • Plan and manage monthly content calendars across all the departments of the university and its group companies
  • Create and oversee engaging content (posts, reels, videos, campaigns)
  • Manage platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter & Website
  • Monitor engagement, respond to queries, and manage online reputation
  • Track performance metrics and generate monthly analytics reports
  • Coordinate with internal teams (academics, admissions, events) and external agencies
  • Cover university events and showcase student life, achievements, and placements


Key Deliverables

  • Consistent and high-quality content output
  • Growth in engagement and follower base
  • Timely execution of campaigns and reports


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors/Masters in Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field
  • 10 years of relevant experience (education sector preferred)


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends
  • Excellent content writing and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Canva/Adobe)
  • Knowledge of paid advertising and campaign optimization
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
  • Creative thinking with analytical mindset
