Role Overview:

KPI Partners is seeking a Snowflake Technical Lead with strong Matillion ETL experience to lead POD teams while also contributing as an individual contributor. The role requires balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical delivery to ensure successful data engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and manage POD teams, providing technical guidance and mentoring.

Oversee project execution, ensuring timelines, quality, and client expectations are met.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Individual Contributor (IC) Role:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion.
• Architect and implement scalable Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and analytics.
• Ensure best practices in data modeling, performance tuning, and pipeline optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong expertise in Snowflake (data warehouse design, optimization, administration).
• Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL for pipeline development and orchestration.
• Solid knowledge of SQL development and query optimization.
• Experience managing POD teams or small agile squads.
• Ability to balance leadership with hands-on technical contributions.

Good-to-Have Skills

Familiarity with dbt or other ELT frameworks.

Exposure to Python or Scala for automation and scripting.

Knowledge of Airflow or other orchestration tools.

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Problem-solving mindset with ability to work in fast-paced environments.
