Role Summary

We are looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize modern cloud data platforms for P&C insurance clients. The role involves working on large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and analytics use cases using Snowflake, Python, and cloud-native services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Snowflake data models for enterprise analytics and reporting
• Build and optimize ELT pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Snowpark
• Implement CDC, incremental loads, and historical data processing
• Develop and manage dimensional models (Facts & Dimensions Type 1 / Type 2 SCD)
• Optimize Snowflake performance using clustering, micro-partitions, caching, and query tuning
• Work with semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet)
• Integrate data from cloud storage and upstream systems
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices
• Collaborate with business analysts and insurance domain teams

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse
• Advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, performance tuning)
• Python for data processing and automation
• Snowpark (Python preferred)
• Experience with CDC, MERGE, UPSERT, and idempotent pipelines
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Medallion/Lakehouse patterns
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Hands-on with S3, Glue, or similar data services

Good to Have

• P&C Insurance domain knowledge (Policy, Claims, Billing data)
• Experience with dbt or orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions)
• Exposure to Terraform or infrastructure-as-code
• Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks
