SMT Manager – Consumer Electronics / EMS

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SMT Manager for Consumer Electronics / EMS manufacturing with strong hands-on expertise in Yamaha SMT lines. The role requires independent management of SMT production, equipment, and engineering teams, ensuring high productivity, quality and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end responsibility for SMT line setup and operation: Printer, SPI, Yamaha Mounter, AOI/API and Reflow

Troubleshooting of SMT machines, process and quality issues in high-mix, high-volume EMS environment

Independent management of SMT production, manpower and shift operations

Lead equipment and process engineering teams

Ensure FPY, OEE, throughput and defect reduction targets

Handle NPI, model changeovers, line balancing and cycle time improvement

Programming, optimization, and maintenance support for Yamaha pick-and-place machines

Process optimization for solder paste printing, placement accuracy, inspection and reflow profiling

Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions

Coordination with QA, Planning and Customer Engineering teams

Ensure compliance with EMS customer quality standards and documentation

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong hands-on experience in Consumer Electronics / EMS SMT manufacturing

Expert knowledge of Yamaha SMT machines

In-depth understanding of Printer, SPI, AOI/API and Reflow processes

Proven ability to manage SMT production and engineering teams independently

Experience in high-mix / fast changeover environments

Qualifications:

Diploma / BE / BTech in Electronics or related discipline

812 years of SMT experience, with Manager / Lead role preferred
