Role Description

  • Client data Management is responsible for provision of reference data to Infrastructure functions, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Anti Finacial Crime and Compliance, to support their critical processes. The Client data Management s responsible for provision of operational support and management of Paty Data (Client) and also includes activities involved in opening of accounts into downstream systems to facilitate Know Your Client (KYC) and enable client business relationships as well as provision of reference data to infrastructure functions, Risk, Finance, treasury and compliance to support their critical processes. The Client Reference Data Services (cRDS) delivers on a broad and consistent, bank wide golden source of Party (Entity / Client) reference data that is externally verifiable and validated. This golden source is business and product agnostic and is used by and distributed to consuming systems (trading, reporting, credit, etc) across Deutsche Bank. Creating and maintaining the static data of clients in the golden source of Party reference data helps the bank to deliver increased compliance to regulatory requirements; improved standardisation, consistency and quality of core entity data and increased efficiency throughout the bank of our client reference data processes.
  • Data Standards SME and Policy lead is responsible for the supporting rules which underlie the party data service. Management and evolution of data standards in line with business process, the role ensures compliance to internal standards and alignment with external regulatory obligations as necessary. Driving of data standards to ensure clearly defined rules can be followed by party data teams ensuring alignment with Deutsche Bank data quality measures and effective controls may be implemented effectively. Through the oversight of various standards procedures and policy being able to proactively recognize and support in management of risk, This role focuses on effective oversight of strategic data used across the bank’s systems and infrastructure. How data standards are aligned to KYC policies and work towards identifying key measures on data accuracy and data standards. Governance of data standards

Your key responsibilities

  • Work as an SME (across Client Reference Data and KYC) to support Policy decisions
  • Management of party data standards and policy including ownership associated documentation and key operating documentation and training materials.
  • Collaboration with key consumers to share data standards, mitigate and resolve any data standards related issues and feedback into ORDS daily processes.
  • Participation in data quality forums to ensure data standards remain correct and are being adhered to. Analysis of standards relevant issues to ensure transparency within and external to ORDS teams.
  • Driving compliance with required bank wide controls including data standards and artefact recertification requirements.
  • Support to run the bank data teams for any queries and / or issues to ensure compliance with data standards and providing guidance for any change projects where data standards view is required.

Your skills and experience

  • Expertise around Client Reference data management and Know Your Client (KYC)
  • Relevant experience in data standards and / or policy management.(experience working in financial services is preferred)
  • A proven track record working in data roles, with experience in data governance preferred.  Must be able to demonstrable evidence of execution capability including understanding the detail with ability to define outcomes and agree suitable solutions to meet these.
  • Experience / background in client on-boarding is preferred but not essential. 
  • Excellent partnership and collaboration skills with ability to work cross functionally including strong communication and influencing skills and ability to work effectively virtual global teams and a matrix organization
  • Knowledge of products and processes related to the financial services industry would be an advantage
