Smart Contract Engineer

F.A.R.A.D.A.Y. is building the financial infrastructure for the agentic AI economy. As autonomous AI agents evolve from assistants to independent economic actors, they need native financial rails, not retrofitted human banking. Were developing the protocol layer that enables AI agents to hold, transfer, and manage digital value autonomously.

Were looking for a Smart Contract Engineer to architect and implement core protocol infrastructure for AI agent banking. Youll design smart contract systems enabling autonomous AI agents to transact, settle payments, and manage treasury operations without human intervention. This is a foundational role with significant influence over technical direction, working directly with the founding team.

Design and implement smart contracts for M2M payment channels, escrow mechanisms, and autonomous treasury management optimized for high-frequency agent transactions

Develop secure identity frameworks and permission systems for agent authentication and trust relationships

Build cross-chain settlement and interoperability solutions

Implement programmable payment logic with verifiable task completion and dispute resolution

Conduct security reviews, write comprehensive test suites, and prepare for external audits

Contribute to protocol design, documentation, and technical specifications

3+ years deploying production smart contracts on EVM chains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base)

Strong Solidity proficiency with deep understanding of gas optimization and security patterns

Experience with Foundry, Hardhat, or similar frameworks

Solid grasp of DeFi primitives: AMMs, lending protocols, payment channels, escrow

Track record of shipping secure, production-quality code

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Solana (Rust/Anchor), Cosmos (CosmWasm), or Move-based chains

Background in mechanism design, game theory, or cryptoeconomics

Familiarity with AI/ML systems or agent frameworks

Experience with cross-chain protocols (LayerZero, Wormhole, IBC)

Open-source contributions or published security research
