Job Description
1. Manages all aspects of slot operations, Including but not limited to, slot game performance analysis, slot personnel, guest service standards, slot team member training, adherence to federal, state , gaming agency, property, and departmental rules and regulation as well as procedural integrity and administration. Takes all necessary steps to protect company assets.
2. Ensures compliance with all State and Casino Gaming Office Regulations.
3. Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
4. Evaluates team member performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
5. Responsible for all employee discipline actions.
6. Assists in determining slot layout, machine types, locations, denominations, and numbers of slot machines on the floor through performance analytics.
7. Runs game performance reports, daily, weekly, monthly, as well as other designated periods.
Analyzes statistics on slot performance reports, ensures game and floor performance is meeting expectations, and recommends any needed changes or actions.
8. Ensures all employees understand slot promotions, events, and slot tournament information.
Supervises and assigns staff to slot duties.
9. Observes, recognizes, documents irregularities in slot and casino personnel or customers and institutes appropriate action.
10. Investigates and resolves customer complaints with a win, win approach.
Ensures customer service standards are met.
11. Promotes positive customer relations, greets customers and creates a friendly atmosphere.
Assists in the coordination of and preparation of special slot functions.
12. Acts as a role model and coach while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
13. Assures the confidentiality of records and files used in the slot department.
14. Produces reports on slot performance and evaluation and presents them to the slot director.
15. Ensures departmental budgets are followed and/or not exceeded.
16. Ensures all required monthly reports required by Casino Gaming Office, and management are delivered upon due dates.
17. Reviews slot files and performance reports daily to ensure accuracy and compliance to expected standards, and adjust discrepancies according to regulations, policies and procedures.
18. Demonstrates leadership skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision.
19. Partners and Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained, motivated employees.
20. Leads and contributes to a team effort in achieving company and departmental goals.
21. Brings all unusual events, analysis, or other unusual items to the attention of the slot director.
22. Ensures assigned property operates in synergy with other properties.
23. Leads by example.
24. Ensures that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations.
25. Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained.
26. Works as a change agent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.
27. Supervise employee development, review training needs for cast members.
28. Responsible for the timely evaluation of all direct reports and conducting introductory period and annual performance reviews
29. Provide witnessing/authorizing signature for slot jackpot payments as described by department policies.
30. Supervise preventative maintenance programs.
31. Be knowledgeable about player events, marketing promotions and services/amenities throughout the property.
32. Maintains appropriate staffing levels by assisting in the selection process of new hires, training, scheduling, disciplining, rewarding, evaluating performance, and recommending promotions and terminations in a fair and equitable manner
33. Communicates clearly and regularly the department goals and expectations to Slot Services and beverage employees.
