Role Summary

We are looking for a Site Survey Engineer to conduct detailed on-site inspections and feasibility studies for C&I rooftop solar projects. The role involves collecting accurate technical data, assessing site conditions, and providing inputs to the design and engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have experience in solar site surveys, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of technical and safety standards for rooftop systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed on-site surveys to evaluate roof structure, shading, orientation, and available installation area.
  • Record measurements, tilt angles, and azimuths; perform shadow and obstruction analysis using standard tools.
  • Assess site safety, accessibility, and structural strength to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Gather key electrical and structural data, including panel ratings, meter details, load distribution, and main panel specifications.
  • Capture high-quality site photos and videos for internal documentation and design reference.
  • Prepare comprehensive site survey reports with accurate measurements, drawings, and key observations.
  • Share survey data and insights with the design and engineering teams to enable precise system design.
  • Coordinate with sales, project, and customer teams to clarify technical feasibility and site constraints.
  • Support the execution team by resolving site-related issues during installation.
  • Identify structural or electrical limitations affecting solar installation design and implementation.
  • Highlight potential site risks such as roof weakness, load capacity concerns, or cabling challenges.
  • Suggest suitable installation methods, component placement, and design modifications.
  • Submit precise survey reports within defined timelines.

Requirements

  • Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • 23 years of experience conducting site surveys for solar PV projects (commercial & industrial).
  • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, mounting structures, and grid integration.
  • Ability to interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs) and perform load assessments.
  • Hands-on experience with measurement and solar assessment tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to different project sites.
