Were Hiring: Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (6-10 years) - Contract to Hire

Preferred Location: Gurgaon/Hyderabad (Hybrid Client office twice a week)

Working Hours: German Time Zone (Mandatory)

On-Call: Structured rotation for production support

Employment Type: Contract to Hire (6 months, likely to extend). Full-time may be considered for strong candidates.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who can take ownership of AWS- based production systems, ensure platform reliability, and support seamless deployments in a cloud- native environment. This is a high-impact role where you will work closely with application and cloud platform teams to maintain production stability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Application and Cloud Platform teams.
• Act as the primary deployment enabler for application releases.
• Ensure smooth CI/CD execution and production stability.
• Monitor systems and proactively resolve production incidents.
• Improve platform reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with AWS services: EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudFront
• DevOps & Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub
• Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch
• Programming: Shell / Python / Go (any one)
• Experience with Kafka messaging systems
• Strong debugging, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and production incident management skills
• Basic understanding of React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with SRE principles (SLI/SLO, Error Budgets, Automation)
• Familiarity with AI tools / Generative AI copilots for automation and troubleshooting

Nice to Have

• ELK Stack
• Terraform / Ansible
• Redis
• Strong production support background

Preferred Skills

Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently

Experience managing deployments and release cycles

Ability to handle client-facing environments

Proactive focus on reliability, automation, and performance improvements

Ability to leverage AI tools to improve engineering productivity
