Site Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a senior, hands-on India Site Lead to establish, scale, and lead our India operations for a global financial services technology organization. This role will be responsible for building and managing the India delivery center, driving execution excellence, and acting as the primary bridge between India teams and global stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings deep domain experience in financial servicesparticularly wealth management, asset management, investment platforms, or fintech combined with strong leadership, operational rigor, and the ability to build high-performing teams from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Site & Operations Leadership

• Establish and scale the India site, including office setup, governance, operating cadence, and delivery standards.
• Own end-to-end site operations, including workforce planning, budgeting, compliance, and vendor management.
• Define and implement operating models aligned with global delivery and business objectives.

Domain & Delivery Ownership

• Provide leadership across technology, product, data, and platform teams supporting wealth/investment management solutions.
• Ensure deep understanding and execution of financial services workflows such as portfolio management, advisory platforms, trading, reporting, compliance, and client servicing.
• Drive predictable delivery, quality, and performance across all India-based teams.

Talent & Culture Building

• Hire, develop, and retain senior leaders and high-performing teams across engineering, data, product, QA, and operations.
• Build a strong culture of accountability, ownership, and collaboration aligned with global values.
• Coach leaders to scale teams while maintaining domain depth and execution excellence.

Stakeholder & Global Collaboration

• Serve as the primary point of contact for global leadership and business stakeholders.
• Partner closely with US/EU-based teams to align priorities, roadmaps, and delivery timelines.
• Communicate site performance, risks, and achievements with clarity and transparency.

Strategic Growth & Transformation

• Support long-term growth plans for India, including expansion of capabilities and centers of excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and adoption of modern engineering and data practices.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives involving platform modernization, cloud adoption, and data-driven decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• 17+ years of overall experience, with significant leadership experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong domain expertise in financial services , preferably wealth management, asset management, investment platforms, or fintech.
• Proven experience setting up or scaling offshore/nearshore delivery centers in India.
• Solid understanding of technology platforms, data ecosystems, and software delivery in regulated financial environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior global stakeholders and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with global product-led or platform-based financial services organizations.
• Exposure to modern technology stacks, cloud platforms, data engineering, and analytics.
• Experience managing India operations for US-based or global firms.
• MBA or advanced degree in business, technology, or a related field.
