Location: Vatva GIDC, Ahmedabad

Ascent Finechem is a fast-growing manufacturer of fine and specialty chemicals, with a strong focus on anisic aldehyde and its derivatives . Since 2004, we have built a global customer base supplying KSMs, API intermediates, and specialty chemicals to pharmaceutical companies worldwide. As we scale operations, we are looking for an experienced Site Head to lead our manufacturing facility at Vatva.

Role Overview

The Site Head will have end-to-end responsibility for plant operations, including production, safety, quality, people, maintenance, and continuous improvement . This is a senior, hands-on leadership role working closely with top management, R&D, QA, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all manufacturing operations to achieve targeted yields, quality, and delivery timelines
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, batch protocols, safety standards, and quality systems
• Plan and execute production schedules, manpower deployment, and shift operations
• Review and approve Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) with timely and compliant documentation
• Troubleshoot process issues, conduct root-cause analysis , and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure smooth plant functioning, optimal equipment utilization , and high operational discipline
• Oversee maintenance systems , machinery uptime, and asset reliability
• Support new product scale-up , process improvements, and capacity expansion
• Build and lead a strong shop-floor team through training, supervision, and performance management
• Champion EHS culture and ensure statutory and audit compliance at all times

Must-Have Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or BE Chemical Engg.
• 10+ years of experience in fine / specialty chemicals manufacturing
• Strong hands-on knowledge of batch chemical plants, equipment, and industrial safety
• Proven experience leading production teams and managing plant-level operations
