Site Engineer

We are hiring a detail-oriented and technically skilled Site Engineer to monitor and support on-ground civil, electrical and mechanical works as per engineering drawings and quality standards, ensuring daily execution progresses smoothly and safely under the guidance of QA/QC Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution Monitoring

• Supervise daily contractor activities for civil, electrical and mechanical scope.
• Ensure execution is aligned with the latest approved drawings and scope.
• Highlight design/BOQ mismatches or feasibility issues to QA/QC Engineers.
• Monitor installation of:
• MMS (Ramming/PCC, structure alignment, module mounting).
• Trenching, conduit laying, cable pulling, etc.
• Inverter, LT panel, and earthing system installation.

Quality & Compliance

• Execute and verify QA checklists shared by QA/QC Engineer.
• Perform visual inspections of workmanship (torquing, cabling, terminations, etc).
• Ensure adherence to line levels, structure tolerances, and cable dressing standards.
• Identify any execution deviations or substandard work and raise flags to QA/QC engineer.

Site Safety & Coordination

• Ensure all laborers use PPE and follow safety protocols (trenching, electrical).
• Report any near misses, unsafe behavior, or unapproved materials to QA/QC.
• Coordinate with I&C contractor for material unloading, handling, and storage.
• Ensure tool and equipment usage is within operational and safety guidelines.

Daily Reporting

• Submit daily activity report to QA/QC Engineer.
• Include status of completed tasks, manpower deployed, and material used.
• Flag execution blockers (contractor absence, material shortfall, access issues).

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

• A percentage of daily planned activities are completed on time.
• A number of quality flags were raised and resolved proactively.
• Safety checklist compliance and zero incident rate.
• Timely and accurate reporting to QA/QC Engineer.

Requirements:

• Diploma/B.E. in Electrical.
• 14 years of site execution experience in solar/C&I/infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and implement them on-site.
• Knowledge of installation best practices (earthing, structure levels, trenching).
• Willingness to travel and work on remote sites for extended duration.
• Strong on-ground communication and contractor handling skills.
