SIL Engineer

About the Company: This opening is for an ADAS Domain Controller project for a prestigious OEM, where Luxoft is working with the OEM teams to deliver next-generation Platform solution based on AUTOSAR Classic, AUTOSAR Adaptive and QNX working together as a system interacting with a host of cameras, ultrasound sensors, internal and external Radars. Luxoft is collaborating on Signal and Service Management, Diagnostics, SW Update, Vehicle Config, QNX/Middleware and Software Architecture areas with the OEM directly. Luxoft is expected to deliver quality and expert support in the above areas, drive topics independently, liaise with other OEM stakeholders to remove blockers. The ideal candidate needs to have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver, never give up attitude and self-starter who can think of out-of-box solution. The successful candidate will be a team player, display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to Client's changing needs.

About the Role: A Software Engineer - SIL is responsible for supporting the development of software simulations for specific applications, base functions or a set of functions (depending on function complexity and content). This includes the cross-functional handling of defined work packages of the V-Model (requirements, design, implementation, testing) and delivery of the function(s) align with ECU releases until the SOP.

Responsibilities:

• Software development and maintenance (enhancement, changes, bugs fixing, tests development)
• Develop and perform Unit Testing, static code analyses, code review
• Timely report status and progress of the assigned activities to direct manager
• Perform tasks within agreed timeframe and according to design specifications
• Learn project specific approaches/technologies store knowledge
• Completely accountable for quality and timely delivery of produced work products
• Work independently/coordinate activities with direct manager
• Analyze customer's specifications
• Work with software requirements (analysis, identify dependencies)
• Know and follow at least one of the estimation approaches
• Adhere to commitments
• Participate in internal technical discussions
• Customers issues analysis and technical troubleshooting
• Identify and report engineering and process improvement opportunities
• Completely accountable for produced work products as well as for work products of supervised persons
• Estimate, plan and organize own work
• Create and/or update detailed design specifications (SDDs)
• Participate in technical discussions (internal and with customer)

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in developing software for C++ based Embedded systems for Automotive product
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols
• Prior experience in automated test systems, SIL, Linux, and/or other simulation environments as a Developer
• Strong embedded C++ programming skills
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Python
• Experience working on ADAS projects
• Familiarity with QNX and Autosar
