Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Signalling Functional Design Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Chennai, India.

About the Position:

BIM Engineer shall be closely working with his team and reporting manager to deliver all BIM design activities for Chennai Metro Phase 2 Project. He shall be a good team player and will take responsibilities to ensure the project needs and milestones are met on high priority.

Key Accountabilities:

Creating BIM models using 3D design software. Updating and modifying information within the models including clash detection & coordination, integrating with the other designated interface partners BIM models. Sharing BIM models with other team members and providing essential data for site control. Extracting two-dimensional data (such as plans and elevations) from the 3D model.

Key Experience Preferred:

BIM Engineers must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in BIM design ensuring they possess the necessary expertise and knowledge. He shall be independently working and at the same time training his peers ensuring that QoS is not compromised.

Education/Qualifications Preferred:

BIM Engineers must hold Diploma or bachelor’s degree. BIM Engineers must have completed a certificate course in BIM design.  Good communication skills are necessary to facilitate effective collaboration with the CMRL team.
