Role Overview:

A hands-on engineer responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify B2B storefronts, integrations, and backend services. Works closely with designers, product managers, and clients to deliver scalable eCommerce solutions.

Experience: 3 - 6 Years

Work Location: Bangalore or Chennai (Hybrid model).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Build and maintain Shopify B2B features: company accounts, price lists, payment terms, draft orders, and wholesale portals.

Develop custom Shopify apps (public, private, and custom) using Node.js or Ruby on Rails.

Integrate third-party APIs: ERP (SAP, NetSuite), CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot), PIM, OMS, and payment gateways.

Work with Shopify Storefront API and Admin API (REST & GraphQL) for custom storefront experiences.

Build Hydrogen/Remix-based headless storefronts.

Write unit and integration tests; maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Implement and manage Shopify Flow automations and custom workflows.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.

Experience with Shopify B2B (post-2022 native features)

Knowledge of metafields, metaobjects, and custom data modeling

Familiarity with Klaviyo, Yotpo, or Gorgias integrations

Basic understanding of SEO for eCommerce.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and debugging ability

Good communication skills (client-facing at times)

Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams.
