Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Shop Assistant role at Goobes Book Republic, located in the Bangalore Urban district. Responsibilities include assisting customers in finding books, managing and organizing inventory, maintaining a tidy and welcoming store environment, and processing transactions. The Shop Assistant will also ensure customer satisfaction and may support with events and promotions held in the store.
Qualifications

Customer Service and Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and provide excellent service.
Organization and Inventory: Skills in organizing and maintaining store inventory, restocking shelves, and ensuring the store is well-arranged.
Sales and Cash Handling: Basic knowledge of cash handling, operating a PC and managing financial transactions.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals and ensure an efficient workflow.
General Skills: A passion for books and reading, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Additional Qualifications: Previous retail experience or familiarity with bookshops is preferred but not mandatory.
