Job Description Shift Engineer (E&I) - Grinding Unit

Department: Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance

Employment Type: TKIL Contractual

Key Responsibilities

Perform DCS programming, logic modification, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and stable process operations.
Ensure proper and timely alarm generation for improved operability and information flow.
Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems across plant equipment.
Support automation tasks in coordination with operations and maintenance teams.
Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and performance through preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Monitor and maintain electrical and instrumentation health of VRM, Roller Press, and Kiln-related circuits where applicable.
Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and shift reports.
Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in automation and E&I maintenance in an integrated cement plant.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in DCS programming and troubleshooting.
Skilled in logic modification and alarm management.
Hands-on experience with cement manufacturing equipment, especially Kiln, Roller Press, and VRM .
Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems.
