ServiceNow Technical Architect

Role Summary

The ServiceNow Technical Architect will own the technical architecture and engineering governance of the ServiceNow platform across multiple workflows. This role is responsible for high-performance design, integration patterns, code standards, upgrade readiness, security, and scalability. The Technical Architect acts as the engineering authority across the entire project lifecycle and ensures that solutions are robust, reusable, secure, and aligned with ServiceNow best practices.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Deep platform engineering across multiple modules:
• ITSM, CSM, HRSD, IRM, SecOps, ITOM/Discovery, App Engine
• Excellent command over ServiceNow architecture layers :
• Scoped Apps, Script Includes, BR, CS, UI Actions, Flow Designer
• ACL security, RBAC, encryption, OOB vs customization frameworks
• Strong experience in platform performance tuning :
• Query optimization, async design, memory & log footprint control
• Integration mastery :
• REST/SOAP APIs, Webhooks, MID Server, OAuth, Web Services
• Integration with common applications viz.SAP, Workday, Azure AD, BMC, CrowdStrike, Tanium, SCCM, Salesforce etc.
• Experience designing and deploying:
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps etc.)
• ATF automation
• Practical experience with upgrade cycles and technical debt control
• Deep understanding of CMDB, CSDM 4/5.0 frameworks, service mapping, dependency mapping
