ServiceNow ITOM Technical Consultant (CMDB / Discovery / Service Mapping)

ITOM Technical Consultant

Location: Pan India (Open to candidates based in Noida and Bangalore)

We are looking for experienced ServiceNow professionals with strong expertise in CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping within the ITOM domain. This opportunity is open to candidates across India, with a preference for professionals based in or willing to work from our Noida or Bangalore locations.

CMDB

• Experience in ServiceNow CMDB/AMDB processes
• Experience in CMDB/AMDB data model and configuration
• Experience in CMDB assessment and data cleanup activities
• Experience in Service Catalog development
• Knowledge of CMDB Normalization, Identification and Reconciliation (IRE)
• Experience in ServiceNow customization
• Integration experience using SOAP/RESTful APIs
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CSDM-led CMDB implementation
• Experience in designing and implementing automated processes for CMDB data population and maintenance
• Experience in building CMDB Health Dashboard and custom reporting
• Good written and communication skills
• ITIL Foundation certification

Discovery

• Installation, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow Discovery
• Strong troubleshooting skills (log analysis, workflow issue resolution)
• Writing maintainable code following best practices
• Minimum 3 years of experience implementing Discovery solutions for multiple customers
• Experience in writing custom patterns for in-house/custom applications
• Experience in scripting to extend Discovery capabilities
• Experience in building custom integrations using adapters/connectors
• Experience with Discovery Probes, Sensors, CMDB Types, and scripting
• Ability to lead requirement discussions and implementation planning
• Experience configuring MID Servers
• Experience delivering technical workshops on Discovery and CMDB/AMDB lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of Import Sets, Transform Maps, external data sources, and data mapping
• Understanding of CMDB classes, relationships, and dependencies
• Discovery/ITOM certifications preferred

Service Mapping

• Experience implementing ServiceNow Service Mapping solutions
• Understanding business service architecture and translating into technical specifications
• Work with process owners, system managers, infrastructure architects, and application SMEs
• Create and validate Service Maps for key applications
• Maintain Service Mapping integrity across environments
• Installation and configuration of Discovery tools for Service Mapping
• Strong troubleshooting and coding as per best practices
• Minimum 5 years of experience implementing Service Mapping solutions
• Experience writing custom patterns for applications
• Experience in scripting to extend Discovery/Service Mapping
• Experience configuring MID Servers
• Experience delivering technical workshops on Service Mapping and Discovery
• Strong understanding of CMDB/AMDB lifecycle, classes, relationships, and dependencies
• Service Mapping/ITOM certifications preferred
