Job Description
ServiceNow IRM Technical Architect
Location: Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad
Qualification
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in solution consulting/advisory and architecture.
- 5+ years of technical experience in ServiceNow IRM (GRC).
- 3+ years of handson experience implementing ServiceNow GRC/IRM projects (Risk Management, Audit Management, Policy & Compliance), including at least one engagement for a large enterprise.
- 3+ years of experience defining IRM data models (risks, controls, issues, assessments, indicators) and designing relationships between IRM and other modules (ITSM, SecOps, HRSD, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks within risk management environments.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Strong background in solution architecture and technical design with a focus on Risk Management, including customizing risk assessment methodologies, risk scoring models, and compliance controls based on regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience with at least one major risk management platform (e.g., Archer, LogicManager, IBM OpenPages, MetricStream).
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, its configuration capabilities, and underlying architecture.
- Experience using Flow Designer and Business Rules to automate risk workflows and service requests.
- Deep understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) business processes with the ability to translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of BFSI regulatory and compliance requirements.
Preferred Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist IRM (CISIRM)
- TOGAF (or equivalent enterprise architecture framework)
Key Responsibilities
1. Framework Alignment & Regulatory Configuration
- Align the ServiceNow IRM platform with industry frameworks (NIST, PCIDSS, GDPR, SOX) and ensure regulatory compliance requirements are accurately configured and operational.
2. Solution Architecture & Implementation
- Architect and implement IRM solutions across Risk, Policy & Compliance, Audit, Vendor Risk, and Business Continuity Management modules.
- Integrate ServiceNow IRM with external systems such as UCF or leverage ServiceNow Use Case Accelerators for compliance and regulatory content.
3. Configuration & Technical Design
- Configure IRM portals, policies, risk registers, audit test plans, vendor contracts, remediation workflows, and operational dashboards/reports.
- Design and maintain relationships and data flows between IRM modules and other ServiceNow applications (ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, etc.).
4. CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Analysts to refine and deliver technical stories within Agile delivery frameworks.
- Partner with legal, risk, compliance, and audit stakeholders to align IRM processes with organizational and regulatory expectations.
5. Process Translation & Automation
- Translate regulatory and operational requirements into scalable IRM workflows, data architectures, and automated platform capabilities.
- Use Flow Designer, Business Rules, and integration capabilities to streamline risk management operations.
6. Advisory, Governance & Best Practices
- Provide consulting on IRM best practices and ensure technical solutions follow ServiceNow architecture standards.
- Review and validate customizations for adherence to best practices, maintainability, and platform performance.
- Guide development and configuration teams throughout design, build, and deployment phases.
