ServiceNow IRM Developer

Location: Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and Hyderabad

Qualifications

• 4+ years of overall ServiceNow development experience.
• 12 years (or 12 fullcycle projects) of handson experience in ServiceNow IRM/GRC modules.
• 12 years of experience integrating ServiceNow IRM with external systems such as UCF or using ServiceNow Use Case Accelerators for regulatory and compliance content ingestion.
• Strong knowledge of the risk lifecycle , including risk identification, scoring models (inherent/residual), controls, indicators, assessments, and compliance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of ServiceNow integration methods , including REST, SOAP, and MID Server based integrations.
• Proficiency in JavaScript , Glide APIs , Business Rules , Client Scripts , Script Includes , and Flow Designer automations.
• Experience working with GRC Workspaces (Risk, Compliance, Audit) and UI Builder for workspace customizations.
• Exposure to IntegrationHub , spokes, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Strong understanding of upgradesafe , modular, and scalable development practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical problemsolving skills.
• Prior experience in the BFSI sector (preferred but not mandatory).

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) IRM/GRC or equivalent
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Key Responsibilities

1. IRM/GRC Module Development & Customization

• Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow IRM/GRC modules including Risk, Policy & Compliance, and Audit.
• Configure compliance controls, risk statements, scoring models, entities, assessments, and control testing workflows.
• Ensure all customizations follow upgradesafe and best practice development standards.

2. Workspace & UI Builder Enhancements

• Build and enhance GRC Workspaces for Risk, Compliance, and Audit using UI Builder .
• Optimize user experience through tailored workspace layouts, pages, and visual components.

3. Integrations & Platform Automation

• Integrate ServiceNow IRM with external systems (e.g., UCF , regulatory feeds, risk content sources).
• Implement authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0 , Basic Auth , and certificatebased authentication .
• Implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs , data imports, and IntegrationHub spokes.
• Use Flow Designer and automation tools to streamline risk and compliance workflows.

4. Risk & Compliance Process Enablement

• Implement and manage the risk lifecycle , including inherent/residual scoring, evaluations, and remediation.
• Configure controls, indicators, tests, issue/exception management workflows, and compliance reporting.

5. Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics

• Develop custom reports, dashboards , and performance analytics for risk, issues, compliance posture, and audit results.
• Enable datadriven insights for risk owners, auditors, and leadership teams.

6. Issue Resolution & System Stability

• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and restore system stability.
• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow coding, security, and performance standards.

7. CrossFunctional Collaboration

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, Administrators, and stakeholders in an Agile delivery model .
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and solution reviews.

8. Documentation & Best Practices

• Maintain complete technical documentation including configurations, scripts, integrations, and design decisions.
• Ensure solutions adhere to ServiceNow development best practices, governance, and compliance guidelines.

9. Continuous Learning & Improvement

• Stay current with the latest ServiceNow enhancements, releases, GRC/IRM capabilities, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and platform optimization initiatives.
