Job Title - ServiceNow Developer  

Role Overview 

The ServiceNow ITAM Developer will lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow ITAM modules as part of Customer’s enterprise-wide transformation. The role demands deep technical expertise in ServiceNow, hands-on development skills, and the ability to work across global teams to streamline asset lifecycle management, CMDB integration, and compliance reporting. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Design & Development 

Build and enhance ServiceNow ITAM modules including Asset Lifecycle, CMDB, Discovery, and Service Catalog. 

Develop custom applications, widgets, and user interfaces using JavaScript, GlideRecord, and RESTful APIs. 

Implement scalable, reusable code following best practices (unit testing, code reviews, documentation). 

2. Integration & Automation 

Integrate ServiceNow with external systems (e.g., Active Directory, monitoring tools) to support automated asset tracking and reconciliation. 

Enable workflow automation across ITAM and ITSM domains to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency. 

3. AI & Innovation Enablement 

Collaborate with AI teams to embed Generative AI models (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) into ITAM workflows for predictive insights and intelligent automation. 

Apply prompt engineering and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) strategies to enhance asset intelligence. 

4. Compliance & Reporting

Ensure alignment with GDPR, Cybersecurity, and other regulatory frameworks through built-in controls and audit-ready reporting. 

Develop dashboards and analytics for SLA monitoring, asset utilization, and lifecycle metrics. 

5. Collaboration & Support 

Work closely with product managers, content curators, and quality teams to define and deliver high-value ITAM solutions. 

Participate in troubleshooting and support activities, including hypercare and knowledge transfer sessions.
