Role : Software Engineer ServiceNow ITSM

Exp: 5+ Years

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Serve as a technical expert and mentor within the team, setting direction and making key architectural decisions.
• Lead by example in designing and implementing robust, scalable software solutions.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and documentation.

Project Delivery & Collaboration

• Partner with engineering managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software aligned with business priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define goals, prioritise work, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.

Team Culture & Continuous Improvement

• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that values collaboration, innovation, and learning.
• Refine engineering practices and drive continuous improvement across the team.
• Regularly report on team health, project status, and identify areas for growth and support.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor other engineers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for software engineering and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Glide Script, Jelly, and AngularJS.
• Experience with ServiceNow platform development and ServiceNow Studio.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design patterns and scalable architecture.
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
