Role:

We are seeking a skilled CMDB Developer with 46 years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management Database (CMDB) development and IT Service Management (ITSM). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CMDB data modeling, integrations, data quality, and reconciliation, and will work closely with cross-functional IT teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and governance of configuration data supporting enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain CMDB solutions aligned with ITIL and organizational standards.
• Define and manage CI classes, attributes, relationships, and lifecycle workflows within the CMDB.
• Develop and customize CMDB data models to support business services and infrastructure components.
• Build and maintain integrations between CMDB and discovery tools, monitoring systems, asset management, and third-party applications.
• Implement data normalization, reconciliation, and de-duplication rules to ensure CMDB data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor CMDB health, perform regular audits, and drive continuous data quality improvements.
• Collaborate with ITSM, infrastructure, application, and security teams to align CMDB data with service management processes.
• Develop scripts, reports, and dashboards to provide visibility into CI relationships and service impact.
• Support CMDB governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Troubleshoot CMDB-related issues and provide production support as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including data models, integration flows, and operating procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 46 years of experience in CMDB development and administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow CMDB (preferred) or equivalent tools.
• In-depth understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management, Incident, Change, and Asset Management.
• Experience with CMDB data modeling, CI relationships, and service mapping.
• Hands-on experience with Discovery tools, integrations, and reconciliation engines.
• Proficiency in scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript, or equivalent) for CMDB customization and automation.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and data integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow CSA / CISCMDB certification or equivalent.
• Experience in large enterprise or shared services environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud CMDB modeling.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and audit requirements related to configuration data.
