ServiceNow Senior Developer

About the Role

We’re hiring a ServiceNow Senior Developer to lead complex development work, guide junior developers, and help shape platform direction. You’ll design scalable solutions, work across multiple modules, and collaborate with architects and process owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development across at least two ServiceNow products, with ITSM and CMDB required.
• Build advanced configurations: Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, ACLs, and Flow Designer logic.
• Develop and optimize JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and AngularJS.
• Create and maintain Scripted REST APIs, integrations, and data workflows.
• Work with architects to design scalable solutions.
• Support upgrades, patches, and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Review junior developers’ work and provide guidance.
• Build catalog items, record producers, and workflow automation.
• Maintain data quality across ITOM, CMDB, SAM, HAM, and ITSM.
• Document designs, scripts, and configuration changes.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Core Skills

• Strong JavaScript (client and server).
• Deep experience with Glide APIs and platform scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
• Proficiency with Scripted REST APIs and IntegrationHub.
• Strong understanding of CMDB, relationships, and data models.
• Experience with Service Portal and UI customization.
• Knowledge of ACLs and security rules.
• Familiarity with ATF.
• Understanding of ITIL processes.
• Experience with Scoped Apps and custom development.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of platform architecture and best practices.
• Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• CSA, CAD, or CIS certifications are a plus.
• Ability to mentor junior developers.
• Strong communication skills with technical and business teams.
