Role Description

The Service Engineer will be responsible for providing highquality technical service and support for SIKORA systems at customer sites and in the companys service workshop.The role combines onsite work, remote support and customer interaction, and requires strong technical skills as well as excellent communication.


Key responsibilities

  • Perform installation and commissioning of SIKORA equipment at customer sites, ensuring proper integration, calibration and handover.
  • Carry out fault finding, troubleshooting and repair of systems onsite and inhouse, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Provide remote service support (phone, email, online tools) to help customers minimize downtime and stabilize their processes.
  • Execute inhouse repairs, testing and quality checks of returned equipment and spare parts as per company procedures.
  • Conduct customer training on operation, basic maintenance and safe handling of the equipment during installation and followup visits.
  • Prepare and maintain a clear service reports of travel and an in-house repairs in CRM.



Basic requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
  • 25 years of experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning or similar technical customer support role (freshers with strong skills and attitude can also be considered).
  • Experience in component-level repairing of electrical/electronic systems.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP, OPC UA or similar).
  • Handson knowledge of industrial machines, automation, sensors, PLCs or measuring systems is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within India (and occasionally abroad) for service assignments.

Skills and competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent and confident in English for customer interaction, reporting and trainings.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving ability with a structured approach to fault diagnosis.
  • Customeroriented attitude, professional behaviour at site and ability to work independently under time pressure.
  • Good IT skills (MS Office; familiarity with remote support tools and basic networking is a plus).
