Role Description:

The purpose of the Service Configuration Management Compliance Lead role is to support the organisation’s Service Configuration Management (SCM) capability by coordinating risk management and audit related activities. This role ensures SCM practices adhere to internal standards and controls and external audit requirements. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to make a real impact!
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Engagement Management: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits involving the SACM team. Coordinate audit preparation activities, evidence collection, and stakeholder collaboration. Ensuring timely and accurate responses.

  • Risk and issue oversight: Collaborate to identify, assess and document risks associated with SCM. Work in partnership with the Service Governance Delivery Manager to ensure controls are aligned with he organisation's risk framework. Contribute to the preparation of control reports and provide clear, supportive commentary for presentation at the monthly Controls Governance Board.

  • Remediation and reporting: Support the tracking and coordination of remediation efforts for audit findings and risk mitigation actions, helping ensure timely and effective resolution.

  • Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of SCM.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of SCM, CMDB and ITIL Practices.
  • Experience with risk management, IT audits, and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrable ability to handle cross-functional engagements and communicate with technical and non-technical partners
  • Strong organisational, analytical ad documentation skills
  • ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation qualification
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
  • Experience with ITSM tools including ServiceNow
  • A demonstrable understanding of IT Infrastructure and technology
