SEO Team Lead

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid / In-office preferred)

Experience: 47 years in SEO (Agency experience mandatory)

Type: Full-time

Were looking for an SEO Team Lead who can own outcomes, people, and process, not just rankings. This role is for someone who understands that:

• SEO is a business growth channel , not just traffic
• Leadership is about clarity, accountability, and collaboration
• Attitude and ownership matter as much as technical skill

Job Responsibilities:

Strategy & Execution

• Own SEO strategy across D2C, B2B, and Service brands
• Build clear roadmaps (90-day, 6-month, 12-month)
• Drive outcomes around: Organic traffic growth, Lead quality & conversions & Revenue attribution
• Ensure strong fundamentals: Technical SEO, On-page optimisation, Content strategy, Link building & authority building

Team Leadership & Ownership:

• Lead and manage SEO executives, analysts & content writers
• Assign work, review outputs, and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain high execution standards without micromanagement
• Actively mentor juniors, skill + mindset
• Take responsibility when things go wrong (no blame-shifting)

Process, Reporting & Accountability

• Build and follow clear SOPs for SEO execution
• Ensure: Weekly updates, Monthly performance reports, Actionable insights, not vanity metrics
• Work closely with: Performance marketing team, Web dev & UI/UX team, Content & creative team
• Flag risks early, dont wait for escalations

Client Communication (Strategic, Not Tactical)

• Join client calls when required
• Clearly explain: What is happening, why its happening and whats next
• Set realistic expectations
• Represent Dare Network with maturity and confidence

What we are looking for:

• 47 years of hands-on SEO experience
• Prior experience leading a team
• Strong understanding of: Technical SEO (Core Web Vitals, site architecture, indexing), Content-led SEO, Conversion-focused SEO, GEO and AEO
• Should have extensive knowledge with: GA4, GSC, Ahrefs / SEMrush, Screaming Fro and any other AI tools.
• Strong attitude & ownership mindset
• Calm under pressure, solution-oriented

• Poor communication or passive-aggressive behaviour
• Hiding behind tools instead of solving problems
• Leading through fear, hierarchy, or attitude
