Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a data-driven and strategic SEO Manager to lead organic growth across web properties. The role requires deep expertise in Technical SEO, Content SEO, and Analytics, along with hands-on experience in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to drive visibility across search engines and AI-driven platforms like Google, Microsoft (Bing), and AI systems such as OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google Gemini, and Perplexity AI.
The candidate should understand evolving search behavior including AI Overviews, zero-click searches, featured snippets, and conversational AI discovery.
Key Responsibilities
1 SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with business goals.
- Improve rankings, organic traffic, and conversions across key verticals.
- Lead keyword research (transactional, informational, navigational, AI-intent).
- Optimize for featured snippets, People Also Ask (PAA), and AI-generated answers.
- Manage on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Optimize content to appear in AI-generated responses (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).
- Structure content for entity recognition and semantic relevance.
- Build authority signals (brand mentions, citations, digital PR).
- Implement structured data (Schema.org).
- Optimize for AI Overviews in SERPs.
- Monitor brand visibility across AI tools.
3 Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Create content optimized for:
- Featured Snippets
- PAA Boxes
- Voice Search
- Zero-click results
- Use FAQ schema, How-to schema, and structured formatting.
- Write concise, answer-first content blocks.
- Optimize for conversational and long-tail queries.
4 Technical SEO
- Crawl analysis using tools like Screaming Frog / Sitebulb.
- Handle:
- Indexation issues
- Canonicalization
- Hreflang implementation
- Core Web Vitals
- JavaScript SEO
- Log file analysis
- Manage large-scale websites (preferred for EdTech / E-commerce / Marketplace).
5 Analytics & Reporting
- Work with:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Ahrefs / SEMrush
Track:
- Organic sessions
- Rankings
- CTR
- AI visibility
- Conversion from SEO
- Present monthly insights & growth roadmap.
6 Content & Authority Building
Guide content team on:
- Topic clusters
- Semantic SEO
- E-E-A-T principles
- Drive digital PR and high-authority backlinks.
- Monitor brand mentions across AI and search platforms.
Required Skills

GEO / AEO Skills
- Experience optimizing for AI Overviews & zero-click search.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing / Engineering / Business.
- 68 years in SEO (EdTech experience preferred).
- Experience handling large-scale websites (10K+ pages).
- Strong analytical mindset.
