Role overview

TheSEOAnalyst will be responsible for improving organic visibility, traffic, and conversions for services-based clients, with a strong focus on both on-page and off-pageSEO. The role requires prior experience in a digital agency environment and deep familiarity with analytics, search consoles, and user-behavior tools.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct detailedSEOaudits to identify technical, on-page, and content-related issues and opportunities.
  • Plan and execute on-pageSEOactivities including keyword mapping, meta tags, content optimization, internal linking, and schema where relevant.
  • Drive off-pageSEOinitiatives such as link-building, digital PR, and local listings to grow authority and organic visibility.
  • Monitor and optimize performance across search engines including Google, Bing, and Yahoo using appropriate webmaster tools.
  • UseGA4 and Google Search Console to track organic traffic, engagement, user journeys, and conversions; generate actionableSEOinsights.
  • Analyze user behavior using tools like Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar (heatmaps, session recordings, funnels) to identify UX and conversion issues that impactSEOperformance.
  • ApplySEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO strategies to align with evolving search and AI-driven experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with content, design, paid media, and development teams to ensureSEObest practices are implemented end-to-end.
  • Stay current on algorithm updates, search trends, and tools, and proactively recommend tests and experiments.
Primary skills and tools
  • Strong expertise inSEOacross both on-page and off-page optimization in the services industry.
  • Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools.
  • Familiarity with AEO and GEO concepts and how they influence content and technical strategy.
  • Practical experience with user behavior and CRO tools such as Microsoft Clarity and Hotjar (heatmaps, recordings, funnels, user feedback).
  • Working knowledge of leadingSEOtools (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Moz or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear recommendations and reports.
  • Good understanding of howSEOdiffers across Google, Bing, and Yahoo, including ranking factors and SERP features.
Preferred background
  • 3+ years of dedicatedSEOexperience, preferably in a digital marketing agency.
  • Proven track record of improving rankings and organic traffic for services-based businesses.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
