Senior Web3 Engineer

We are seeking an experiencedSenior Web3 Developerwith deep expertise inLayer 1 blockchain architecture, decentralized exchange (DEX) design, smart contract development, and advanced security practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple chains and ecosystems, including Aptos, Arbitrum, OKX, Bitcoin Taproot, and other Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks.

This role requires extensive experience designing and optimizinghigh-performance Layer 1 protocols, buildingDEX architectures (AMM, orderbook, hybrid models), and implementing secure cross-chain and DeFi infrastructure. Proficiency in Solidity and Move is essential, along with strong knowledge of interoperability, MEV mitigation, and DeFi security models.

Key Responsibilities

-Layer 1 Architecture and Protocol Engineering

• Design and contribute to Layer 1 blockchain architecture, validator logic, and consensus mechanisms.
• Optimize L1 performance (throughput, finality, state management, gas models).
• Work on modular blockchain frameworks, rollups, and execution environments.
• Contribute to tokenomics design, staking systems, and validator incentives.
• Implement low-level blockchain components and protocol improvements.

-Decentralized Exchange (DEX) Development

• Architect and develop AMM-based DEXs (constant product, stable swap, concentrated liquidity models).
• Design and implement on-chain orderbook DEXs and hybrid exchange mechanisms.
• Develop liquidity management systems, routing algorithms, and aggregation strategies.
• Implement MEV mitigation strategies (anti-sandwich, anti-front-running).
• Optimize swap efficiency, slippage reduction, and gas usage.
• Build cross-chain DEX functionality and liquidity bridging solutions.
• Conduct economic attack modeling and simulation for DEX protocol safety.

-Smart Contract Development & Deployment

• Design, develop, and deploy secure smart contracts using Solidity and Move (.move).
• Implement cross-chain functionality, bridges, and interoperability solutions.
• Optimize contracts for gas efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Implement upgradeable contract architectures and proxy patterns.

-Blockchain Infrastructure

• Set up, run, and maintain full nodes, archive nodes, and validator infrastructure across multiple L1 and L2 networks.
• Operate staking and governance participation infrastructure.
• Manage RPC infrastructure and performance monitoring.
• Integrate with ecosystems including Aptos, Arbitrum, OKX, Bitcoin Taproot, Ethereum, and other networks.

-Security & Auditing

• Conduct in-depth smart contract audits (manual + automated using Slither, MythX, Echidna, Foundry, Certora, Tenderly).
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities including:
• Reentrancy
• Diamond proxy exploits
• Sandwich attacks
• Civil/Sybil attacks
• MEV/MBV (Miner/Maximal Extractable Value)
• Flash loan exploits
• Oracle manipulation
• Perform economic security reviews for DEX and DeFi systems.
• Implement secure upgradeability and governance mechanisms.

-Zero-Knowledge Proofs & Cryptography

• Develop and integrate ZK-proof systems for privacy-preserving transactions.
• Apply elliptic curve cryptography and advanced cryptographic primitives.
• Collaborate on novel cryptographic protocol designs.
• Explore ZK rollups and privacy-preserving DEX mechanisms.

-Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with product, research, and security teams.
• Create detailed protocol documentation and architectural specifications.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives and ecosystem tooling.

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in software engineering.
• 5+ years in blockchain protocol development.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Layer 1 protocol engineering.
• Proven experience building and scaling decentralized exchanges (DEX).
• Experience designing high-value DeFi systems handling significant TVL.

• Experience auditing DeFi and DEX protocols.
• Familiarity with Slither, MythX, Foundry, Tenderly, Echidna, Certora.
• Formal verification experience (preferred).

-Infrastucture

• Node deployment and validator operations.
• Staking mechanisms and governance.
• RPC management and monitoring.
• DevOps experience in decentralized environments.

-Cryptography

• Zero-Knowledge Proof systems.
• Elliptic Curve Cryptography.
• Consensus algorithms.
• Secure multi-party computation (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Masters preferred).
• Prior contributions to Layer 1 blockchain protocols.
• Proven experience building or auditing DEX and DeFi protocols.
• Experience with bridging protocols (e.g., Wormhole, LayerZero).
• Experience with rollups, modular blockchains, and execution layers.
• Active participation in Web3 communities, hackathons, and research forums.
