Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Vice President Sales (Fintech) to lead large-scale field and direct sales operations across digital payments ecosystems including QR deployments, merchant acquisition, UPI/payment solutions, and retail fintech distribution models.

This role requires a strategic business leader capable of scaling national merchant networks, driving aggressive revenue growth, building high-performance field structures, and ensuring strong operational governance within the digital payments landscape.


Key Responsibilities

Business & Revenue Leadership

  • Own and drive overall P&L for the Fintech Sales vertical
  • Develop aggressive go-to-market strategies for digital payment solutions
  • Drive merchant acquisition, onboarding & activation across regions
  • Lead cross-sell & value-added service initiatives to maximize merchant lifetime value
  • Deliver consistent topline growth and market penetration

Sales Strategy & Expansion

  • Design and execute scalable field sales frameworks across multiple cities
  • Identify new geographies, merchant segments & channel opportunities
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams for solution positioning
  • Build structured incentive programs and productivity models

Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, lead and mentor large multi-city field sales teams
  • Create a strong performance-driven culture
  • Implement KPI governance, dashboards & accountability systems
  • Hire and groom next-line leadership

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor merchant onboarding funnel and improve activation ratios
  • Reduce process inefficiencies and drop-offs
  • Strengthen territory planning & field productivity tracking
  • Implement data-backed performance interventions

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to fintech regulatory and operational standards
  • Implement strong risk mitigation processes
  • Drive ethical and compliant sales practices

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with senior management
  • Track KPIs including acquisition cost, activation rate & productivity metrics
  • Build strong relationships with fintech partners and ecosystem stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business / Marketing / Finance
  • MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience
  • Minimum 5+ years in senior fintech leadership (Digital Payments / Merchant Acquisition Mandatory)
