Team/Role Overview:
This International Regulatory Compensation Senior Vice President role sits within the International Regulatory Compensation Team in Total Rewards. The team are responsible for ensuring Citi fulfils its remuneration regulatory obligations with regard to design, operation, reporting and governance activities across International. This role focuses on a diverse geography and provides technical, analytical and compliance support as it relates to remuneration regulations.
The position aims to add significant value by supporting Citi in complying with remuneration related regulatory requirements throughout the APAC region, with a particular focus on Asia South.
The Incumbent will be the recognized technical expert in remuneration regulatory requirements and will make significant impact on the area through complex deliverables.
This is a Hybrid role, with the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week.
What you'll do:
Lead in ensuring that Citi’s remuneration plans, processes and practices throughout Asia South and are compliant with regulatory requirements, and provide similar support across the wider APAC region.
Act a trusted partner and subject matter expert, providing advice and guidance on regulatory remuneration matters to other teams across Total Rewards and HR.
Lead in preparation and presentation of RemCo materials.
Strategically partner with a broad network of individuals including the wider Total Rewards and HR teams and other internal stakeholders e.g. Risk, Compliance, Legal and Finance.
Monitoring developments and hot topics within the remuneration regulation environment and proactively assess and plan for potential impact.
Proactively seek opportunities to achieve process improvements, streamlining and technology solutions for the team.
Oversight and monitoring of controls and governance requirements relating to regulatory remuneration.
Assisting with audit responsibilities in connection with regulatory remuneration matters.
Support on preparation of regulatory reporting as it relates to remuneration, ensuring it is robust, efficient and timely.
Assisting with the implementation of new remuneration regulatory requirements and compliance with regulators as necessary, whilst maintaining Citi’s Global approach to remuneration regulatory issues.
What we'll need from you:
Expertise in remuneration regulatory requirements, in particular in Asia (including India, Indonesia, Singapore).
Experience within Financial Services Reward / Compensation team(s).
Clear and concise written and verbal English communication skills.
Willingness to further develop knowledge of remuneration regulations and associated reporting requirements.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas.
Strong commercial awareness.
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work credibly and effectively with key stakeholders; Effective team player.
Strong analytical skills; Reliability; High degree of attention to detail.
Results oriented and capacity to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines; Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple priorities.
Ability to appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple priorities
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commercial awareness is a necessity
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
