- Lead the transformation of verification practices from requirement-based to workflow-based testing, focusing on how clinicians interact with PACS in real scenarios.
- Champion a “break-the-system” mindset to uncover hidden defects and ensure robust product quality.
- Define and implement a critical minimum test case strategy to maximize coverage while reducing defect escape rates.
- Oversee comprehensive functional, non-functional (performance, usability, security), and automation testing strategies.
- Drive high-quality automation by identifying high-impact areas using heat maps and prioritizing sanity and regression test suites.
- Evaluate vendor-delivered automation scripts to ensure they meet quality standards and run reliably over extended periods.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of verification engineers, fostering a culture of engagement, continuous learning, and clinical awareness.
- Provide domain-specific training and encourage rotations across automation, clinical workflows, and system testing to maintain motivation and skill diversity.
- Promote professionalism and ownership within the team, aligning individual growth with organizational goals.
- Partner with system engineering, product management, and clinical teams to enhance domain understanding and test relevance.
- Collaborate with vendors to scale automation efforts while maintaining quality and alignment with internal standards.
- Use data-driven decision-making and rational influence to align cross-functional teams on verification priorities.
- Ensure that there is minimal overlap between agile testing and system functional testing.
- Work with software group leaders and test leaders to ensure that testing best practices are followed in the organization
- Use data driven approaches to reduce escaped defects in the field.
- Define and track leading and lagging KPIs such as defect trends, automation coverage, CI build stability, and defect severity.
- Focus on early defect detection, continuous integration, and maintaining automation quality as part of best practices.
- Continuously refine verification processes to align with evolving regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Leverage AI significantly for self-healing tests, test frameworks and test script generation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software/system verification within reputed healthcare or MedTech companies.
- Proven leadership in transforming verification strategies and managing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of PACS, DICOM, HL7, and clinical imaging workflows.
- Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
- Experience with cloud-native PACS or enterprise imaging platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and cybersecurity standards (HIPAA, GDPR).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
