We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer who can own and elevate the end-to-end user experience across our digital ecosystemweb, mobile apps, and other interactive touch points. This role will work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to conceptualise, design, and deliver intuitive, scalable interfaces that align user needs with business goals.

Job responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of The Hostellers design systems, brand guidelines, workflows, technical constraints, and existing digital products
• Build strong empathy for users by understanding the customer lifecycle, behaviours, and demographics across platforms
• Collaborate with product teams to anticipate current and future UI/UX needs , aligning designs with long-term product vision
• Conceptualise and communicate design solutions using user flows, storyboards, sitemaps, wireframes, and interface components
• Design high-fidelity UI mockups and interactive prototypes that clearly represent final product experiences
• Define and design navigation structures, interaction patterns, and core UI elements such as menus, tabs, search, and widgets
• Create original visual assets including graphics, illustrations, and supporting design elements as required
• Present design concepts, iterations, and rationale to internal teams and key stakeholders , incorporating feedback effectively
• Identify, analyse, and resolve UX issues related to usability, accessibility, and responsiveness
• Iterate designs based on user feedback, data insights, and usability findings
• Ensure consistent adherence to design systems, typography, colour palettes, and visual standards
• Conduct pre-release, post-release, and post-implementation testing to validate design effectiveness
• Plan and execute usability testing to evaluate ease of use, clarity, and overall user experience
• Partner closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure design quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Design, UI/UX, Computer Science, or a related discipline .
• Proven hands-on experience as a UI/UX Designer (or similar role) across web, mobile, CMS, and other digital platforms , with strong proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, InVision, and wireframing platforms .
• Strong working knowledge of visual design tools , including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop .
• Prior experience working in startups or fast-paced, high-growth environments , with the ability to adapt quickly and manage evolving requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills , with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Deep understanding of current UI/UX trends, consumer psychology, user behaviour, user flows, and digital decision-making patterns .
