Position Summary...

Business Operations : Requires knowledge of: Organization KPIs; Assessment techniques. To cater to key stakeholders and their priorities. Participate in business task to get things done in own unit or area. Communicate key considerations for business decision making process. Comment on the organizations business model and financial goals. Cite examples of types of information needed to make sound business decisions. Technology Landscape Awareness: Requires knowledge of: Understanding of technology strategy and its linkages to domain; Basic understanding of existing and upcoming systems, technologies and trends; Product technical information; Basic understanding of domain specific market standards; Basic understanding of methodologies and tools, processes, checkpoints. To get involved and provide support to technology/ domain stakeholders to solve complex issues (i.e. suggest what skills are needed, how does the technology impacts). Develop business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Demonstrate deep functional knowledge of the business unit/domain. Translate business unit/domain requirements into projects, activities, and tasks and aligns to overall technology strategy. Serve as an interpreter and conduit to connect business unit/domain needs with tangible solutions and results. Participate in creating new processes and ways of working. Program Definition: Requires knowledge of: Program Management techniques, tools and frameworks; Benefits analysis; Program Planning tools and techniques. To define goals, deliverables and schedules for managing multiple medium to high complexity projects within a program, in line with the overall strategic objectives. Create accountability matrix for the projects. Decompose the program into multiple modules and assign responsibility assignments and milestones for each module. Comprehends the operational and financial factors that drive project success. Program Monitoring and Control : Requires knowledge of: Program Monitoring and Control tools and processes; Internal and External program Reporting and logging tools and processes To monitor and evaluate the progress of the projects against approved milestones and timelines. Lead cross functional and/or pillar coordination meetings to review schedule progress, health, issues/risks, and key dependencies of the projects. Take appropriate measures when required to bring program health on track in case of adversity. Influencing and Building Stakeholder Consensus: Requires knowledge of: Verbal/Non-verbal behaviors; Application and allocation of Business Communication styles/techniques in ambiguous and challenging situations ; Communication channels/mediums; Interpersonal skills and universal relationship building with ability to connect seemingly unconnected parties; Influencing styles. To communicate, articulately and concisely, in a one-to-one/ stakeholder meeting involving one-two teams. Proactively build personal network and seek and provide constructive feedback. About Team

International Technology team enables our stores and eCommerce operations across the world. The platforms that we build are used in most of the markets where Walmart has its presence (outside US). Intl Post Purchase team focuses on building customer platforms and interfaces which enables customers buy on our eComm platform generating revenue for our retail business

We're looking for senior program manager with a breadth of skills who can create and execute a plan for new strategic initiatives as well as driving the global technology platforms across Global Tech. You should be able to drive high level design, solutioning & delivery of program with our next generation platforms keeping scalability, robustness and security aspects in focus. The platforms we build will be used by customers & sellers across multiple countries with each of them being a multi billion dollar business for Walmart. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that spans across multiple countries, large number of users and data. We leverage cutting-edge technologies such as big data, machine learning, AI, real-time analytics, and high-volume, low-latency, high-availability services to achieve these goals.

What You’ll Do:

As a part of the Post Purchase Program Management team you will impact the shopping of our customers to build solutions that will enable a seamless, highly scalable omni-channel experience for a multi-billion dollar enterprise. You impact the international business directly in driving technology strategies to enable the customers with the best user experience to onboard to Walmart eComm platforms. You may have to travel to the United States and other international locations, working closely with Business Stakeholders, World Class Product Teams, and fellow globally based engineering teams, bridging the gap between business and technology worlds.

What you'll bring:

  • An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream

  • 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in software applications environment

  • Experience building processes, project management, and complex program schedules.

  • Strong project management & cross-group collaboration skills

  • Prior experience with implementing and driving initiatives using agile methodologies

  • Solid understanding of the current web technologies and general ability to ramp up and go deep in based on need. Exposure to retail technology would be preferred.

  • Think creatively and critically about architecture, and capabilities with innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.

  • Knowledge of large-scale technical program management in product organization.

  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and project management tools, etc.

  • Technical expertise on ecommerce platforms is a plus

  • Interact with key Business Stakeholders, Engineering/Product Leaders, and Executive sponsors.

  • Expert in understanding and driving complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders/teams to achieve a desired outcome in stipulated time.

  • Develop, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs.

  • Lead the end to end lifecycle of IDC projects and cross functional programs from inception to completion of rollouts.

  • Drive quintessential agile practices in day today routine of squads.

  • Coach the squad members about the ways of working – Scrum, Scaled Agile or any adopted ways of working methodology

  • Create excellent executive reports and do exec communications

  • Use written communication skills to deliver regular program reports and verbal communication to effectively talk to team members and monitor program progress

  • Work on many tasks at once, which makes multitasking skills a must-have

  • Since Technical program managers work with strict deadlines, time management is an essential component of this job

  • Technical program managers use problem-solving skills to isolate and solve problems with programs to keep progress on track
