About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager with 815 years of experience and a strong foundation in software development. The ideal candidate must have transitioned from a hands-on engineering role into program management and should be comfortable driving large, complex, cross-functional technology programs end-to-end.
This role requires deep technical understanding, stakeholder management, delivery ownership, and the ability to align engineering execution with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent technical programs.
- Translate business objectives into structured execution plans with clear milestones and KPIs.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure alignment.
- Lead sprint planning, release planning, and roadmap execution tracking.
- Identify risks early, create mitigation plans, and proactively manage dependencies.
- Drive architecture discussions with engineering teams (technical depth required).
- Ensure delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
- Improve program governance, reporting mechanisms, and delivery frameworks.
- Establish best practices in Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologies.
- Manage stakeholder communication including leadership updates.
Required Qualifications
- 815 years of total experience in software engineering and program management.
- Minimum 46 years in a Program Manager / Technical Program Manager role.
- Strong prior hands-on experience in backend / full-stack / distributed systems development.
- Experience working in product-based companies or high-growth startups preferred.
- Solid understanding of:
- System architecture
- APIs & microservices
- Databases & scaling concepts
- Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
- CI/CD & DevOps practices
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams (10+ members).
- Experience handling multi-team program execution.
- Strong risk management and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in SaaS / B2B platforms.
- PMP / CSM / SAFe certification (good to have).
- Experience in scaling engineering teams.
- Exposure to data-driven decision-making frameworks.
