Senior System Software Engineer (Networking)

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead endtoend design and development of C-based networking applications
• Apply strong knowledge of network protocols, OS internals, and system-level programming
• Drive root-cause analysis, debugging (GDB), and performance optimization
• Work with cross-functional teams across geographies
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy and best practices
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code

Required Skills :

• Strong expertise in C programming and OS concepts
• Solid understanding of Networking fundamentals (OSI model, L2/L3/L4, Load Balancers)
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, UDP, Socket Programming
• Proficient in GDB for debugging
• Working knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with version control tools: Git / SVN / CVS
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have :

• Knowledge of ARP / ND6, Ethernet, VLANs
• Understanding of Routing & Switching, BGP / OSPF (optional)
• Experience with ACLs iptables / nftables
• Exposure to network analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump)
