About the Role
As a Sr. System Administrator, you will be working as a Systems Engineering backbone for the organization. Your role primarily will include plan, implement, oversee, and maintain server and network infrastructures and projects. Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices.
Qualified candidate must be a geek in Linux and Ubuntu operations displaying a very high level of expertise, ownership, and technical leadership in managing the network infrastructure with passion, energy and enthusiasm.
Performance will be measured based on ticket management, proactively communicating with customers and other internal teams, and adhering to SLAs.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum3-6 years of Industry Experience
- Proficient in Administration of customer engineering/dev, and IT infrastructure
- Provisioning and preparing of hardware and software for deployments in clients dev environment, IT test lab, and customer environments
- Create security and hardening configs at the OS (Ubuntu), middleware (nginx), and database (MySQL/MariaDB) layers
- Assist in provisioning of clients cloud components in Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure Cloud, and AWS
- Provide level 2 support for clients / Partners 1st level support techs
- Assist with deployment planning, coordination, on boarding, and on-going support for customer deployments
Critical Skills (Minimum 2- 6 years):
- Hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu) command set
- Linux (Ubuntu)troubleshooting skills (logs, dumps, etc)
- Hands-on experience in implementing Linux authentication and hardening
- Shell/bash scripting and automation technologies
- Coding(python) a plus
- Network troubleshooting skills OS + upstream device familiarity
- Experience with managing remote monitoring systems (PRTG, Site24x7, Nagios, Zabbix, etc)
- SLA-driven Incident management
- Escalations and problem management
Must Display:
1. Security-driven mindset
2. Ability to monitor several monitoring streams simultaneously
3. Experience with remote access
4. Experience with using a ticketing system
