Senior Structural Engineer - Steel and Tensile Structures

Jain and Associates is a leading Architecture and Landscape Architecture firm in India. We have completed more than 1200 projects in India. We primarily design large scale govt projects.

We are looking for a senior Engineer to lead the Structure design for design of Aviary which would require strong experience of Steel and Tensile structures. We are designing two aviaries in India, one in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and the other in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

Responsibilities

• Structural design and analysis of steel-framed aviary enclosures

• Design integration of tensile/membrane roofing systems

• Load calculations including wind, seismic, live loads, and dynamic effects

• Connection detailing, anchoring systems, and constructability review

• Preparation of complete structural drawings and BOQs

• Coordination with fabricators for shop drawings and erection planning

• Ensuring compliance with relevant codes (IS / Eurocodes as applicable)

• Site visits and execution support during installation

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

• Minimum 5 years experience in steel structure design

• Demonstrated work in tensile or lightweight structural systems

• Proficiency in structural software such as:

STAAD Pro / ETABS / SAP2000

Tekla Structures / AutoCAD

Rhino + Grasshopper (bonus for tensile form-finding)

• Strong understanding of fabrication and erection practices

• Experience with architectural structures, enclosures, or special projects preferred
