Senior Staff SDET : You Code AI Testing Frameworks That Scale!

About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to architect and build testing infrastructure for cutting-edge AI and SaaS platforms serving enterprise customers at global scale. This is a technical leadership role focused on software development, automation engineering, and building scalable test systems for sophisticated AI-native products.

You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, AI/ML, and distributed systemsdeveloping frameworks, tools, and automation solutions that ensure reliability, performance, and security across multi-tenant cloud environments.

What You'll Do

• Architect Testing Infrastructure: Lead the technical strategy and roadmap for test automation, developing scalable frameworks and tools that drive continuous improvements in coverage and release quality
• Build Automation Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for API, UI, and data validation testing, leveraging AI tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
• Engineer AI/ML Test Solutions: Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to develop specialized testing solutions for AI/ML workflows, analytics pipelines, and model integrations in production environments
• Develop Performance & Security Testing Systems: Build and implement performance, security, and regression testing frameworks to ensure enterprise platform reliability at scale
• Drive Technical Excellence: Conduct root cause and trend analysis to identify technical gaps and develop automated solutions and process enhancements
• Build Developer Tools: Create testing tools, libraries, and utilities that empower engineering teams to ship with confidence while maintaining alignment with Agile/SAFe practices
• Engineer End-to-End Solutions: Develop comprehensive testing coverage across microservices, APIs, mobile, and web-based solutions in complex multi-tenant cloud environments

What You Bring

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 710+ years of software development experience with a focus on test automation and infrastructure
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
• Strong software development skills with the ability to understand complex features, architect solutions, and write production-quality code with appropriate validation and assertions
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining custom test automation frameworks from the ground up
• Experience developing testing systems for complex, distributed environments including end-to-end, longevity, reliability, migration, and performance testing
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI testing frameworks for foundation models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or Generative AI frameworks (LangChain, Guidance, etc.)
• Deep understanding of CI/CD engineering and infrastructure tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Demonstrated ability to understand complex distributed systems and architect comprehensive test strategies
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with strong engineering fundamentals

Preferred:

• Experience with microservices architectures and developing testing methodologies for them
• Proficiency developing performance/load testing solutions (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
• Hands-on development experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum engineering teams
• Technical leadership or mentorship experience
• Experience building test infrastructure for data-driven applications
