Solaris 11 (with virtualization Zones) and ZFS VERITAS Infoscale (currently 7.3 , we are updating to 8.x) VERITAS Volume manager & Filesystem VERITAS Cluster (our HA/DR Solution) Tasks: Administration, maintenance, and operation of the supported system environments and ensuring system availability. Consulting, conception and implementation of complex servers or storage & backup solutions and their strategic further development for the realization of optimal solutions (active cooperation with other organizational units for interface-relevant tasks). Preparation of documentation, presentations, and manuals for the supported system environment. Maintenance, fault clearance and maintenance on-site or remote. 2nd level support for users, developers, and testers Interface between system manufacturers and partners Central participation in BCP processes Special tasks Musts Subject-specific studies or comparable qualification Knowledge of the technologies used in the system environment Knowledge of the common server operating systems and system management tools and functional know-how in automation technologies Proficient command of spoken and written English Nice to haves Certifications in the technologies used in the system environments Several years of practical experience in the IT environment with the relevant systems Knowledge of IT security and communication interface systems Secure handling of high-availability systems To ensure upskill/ creation of resources through internal academies/ trainings and growth rotationTo provide Pre Sales Support (RFP Response, Solution Defense, Customer Presentation) & Transition or transformation escalated supportTo contribute in development of practice areas through value add activities in the knowledge domainTo ensure project deliverables within quality standards and timeline
