As Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Specialist your main tasks will be to support the organization with knowledge, models and tools to fulfill the needs for financial follow up, business planning and business control. You will be a part of Nasdaq’s Financial Technology Client Experience finance team.

Role Responsibilities -
As a Senior Specialist – FP&A, your role involves supporting the organization with financial follow-up, business planning, and business control. You will work closely with colleagues in Mumbai and Nasdaq teams in other countries. Key responsibilities include:
Financial planning & Forecasting:
- Lead the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future financial performance.
- Ownership of the Group’s monthly reforecast reporting, including resource planning, annual budget and Long-Range Planning process ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain accurate tracking of Group actual and forecast for headcount and operational expenses, noting that headcount represents our single largest cost category and underpins our ability to deliver growth in our Client Experience functions and maintain Group operational efficiency.
- Managing the revenue analysis, with commentary, working with stakeholders to understand project progress and revenue recognition.
Financials Analysis:
- Analyse the monthly close and provide detailed commentary of variances and identify trends for management and corporate finance teams.
- Work with the Client Experience teams to prepare, review and provide summary of Capacity (staff FTE) Vs Demand (Revenue $) correlation adjusting YTG hiring plans as required.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and modelling.
Reporting and Dashboards:
- Prepare and develop regular financial reports, including monitoring monthly, quarterly and annual reports with bridges.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with relevant internal and external standards.
- Review analyses of business initiatives, operational effectiveness, to guide business decisions.
Business Partnering and Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with departments leaders and senior management to understand their financial needs and provide relevant insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping business units to make informed decisions.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, offering financial expertise and strategic support.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function and across Client Experience.
- Leverage financial software and AI tools to streamline reporting and processes.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in financial planning and analysis.
- Mentor and coach the FP&A team to promote development and succession plans, plus any ad-hoc requests
We expect you to have:
- 8 to 10 years’ experience, bringing strong financial knowledge including understanding revenue, cost and cash flow effects of different activities is highly meriting.
- FP&A experience and stakeholder management experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, BI tools and other IT tools to perform Business and Financial Control/models.
- Excellent language skills in written and spoken English.
- Experience from the financial sector or IT sector and professional certifications would be a merit.
- Education Qualification: University degree in finance, accounting or business administration
