Primary Responsibilities:

• Architecture and Design:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Cloud exposure:
  • Experience in developing scalable, resilient and secure cloud applications to meet the demands of high-performance applications
• Database Management:
  • Oversee the optimization and management of large-scale PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high performance and seamless scalability
  • Design, implement, and optimize databases within the Azure environment
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient retrieval processes
• Big Data Exposure:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data architectures to meet the organization’s business objectives
  • Develop robust data ingestion processes, ensuring the timely and reliable collection of large volumes of data from various sources
  • Implement and optimize data processing pipelines using frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop for efficient and high-performance data transformations
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of big data systems, making adjustments to enhance efficiency and responsiveness
• Collaboration and Mentoring:
  • Collaborate with junior developers and cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous learning
  • Mentor team members, sharing best practices and providing technical guidance
• DevOps and CI/CD:
  • Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless and efficient deployment processes
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure a robust and automated infrastructure
• Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and advocate for testing methodologies, ensuring high code quality
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain coding standards and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaboration and Mentoring:
  • Collaborate with junior developers and cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous learning
  • Mentor team members, sharing best practices and providing technical guidance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven track record as a Lead Engineer or equivalent leadership role with 7+ years of experience
• Extensive experience in implementing and maintaining cloud security best practices.
• Solid proficiency of Azure services, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Spark, and Scala
• Proven exceptional problem-solving capabilities and effective communication skills
• Ability to inspire and lead a high-performing engineering team in a challenging and dynamic work environment
