Senior Software Engineer – Qt Framework

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Qt Developer to identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in Qt framework. The candidate should have strong experience in C++ development, a deep understanding of Qt internals, and knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation.

Responsibilities

•                 Identify and fix security vulnerabilities within the Qt framework.

•                 Analyze Qt-based code for common security issues (e.g., buffer overflows, race conditions, input validation flaws).

•                 Analyze CVEs and security advisories related to Qt and assess their impact.

•                 Apply secure coding guidelines and best practices.

•                 Collaborate with security teams to build and run automated security tests.

•                 Patch or contribute to the Qt framework when necessary to resolve underlying issues.

•                 Stay updated with security trends, especially those related to C++ and GUI application frameworks.
 

Educational qualification:

BE/ BTech

Experience :

8+ years of experience in C++ and Qt Framework.

Mandatory/requires Skills :

•                 Strong proficiency in C++ with hands-on experience in Qt.

•                 Deep understanding of Qt modules such as QtCore, QtGUI and QtNetwork.

•                 Knowledge of software security principles and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP, MITRE CWE).

•                 Ability to understand and patch large codebases.

•                 Experience with secure communication protocols (TLS, certificate pinning) and file handling in Qt.

•                 Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

•                 Contributions to the Qt open-source community or prior experience modifying Qt internals.

•                 Knowledge of cross-platform development challenges in Qt.

•                 Familiarity with Linux and embedded development environments.
