About the Role:

This position is performed by an experienced professional and will undertake difficult research, design and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products under the guidance of more senior members of the squad. This position performs software design - typically across multiple components; is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise-grade software solutions, ensuring robust integration and functionality.

• Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs and common integration frameworks to support downstream processes.

• Develop and customize applications using platform-agnostic workflow automation, scripting.

• Configure, enhance, and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for decision-making.

• Maintain data models and data health, including relationships between data entities and configurations.

• Improve user experience through streamlined workflows and automation of business processes.

• Create and use automated testing frameworks to validate integrations, processes, and platform changes.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for software functionality and integrations.

• Design, develop, and optimize backend components and data integrations using Java/J2EE and PostgreSQL to support enterprise applications.

• Additional:

• Leverage Databricks for data processing; contribute to Spark-based jobs and data transformations; implement basic Databricks notebooks and pipelines.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Platform teams to design data models, ensure data quality, and improve data store performance.

• Build data-driven features and reporting or automation that leverage SQL databases and Databricks data artifacts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• 4–6 years of hands-on software development experience, with strong, demonstrable experience in enterprise applications; experience in related domains is beneficial.

• Must have:

• Proficiency in Java and J2EE

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL

• Basics of Databricks

• Proficiency in REST APIs and integration frameworks

• Strong knowledge of workflow automation, scripting.

• Experience with data models, configuration data, and relationships between data entities

• Good-to-have:

• Spark

• Scala

• Data Frame

• Databricks advanced

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
